ABOUT MY APPROACH

The type of therapy that I practice is called Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). CBT is a structured and practical type of therapy that can help you develop tools and strategies to deal with your day-to-day challenges.

CBT entails looking at the relationship between your thoughts, emotions and behaviours in an effort to help you understand and change your patterns.  Unlike traditional forms of talk therapy, CBT is practical and action-oriented. If you are looking for strategies to deal with your problems and are open to doing homework in-between sessions, CBT may be the right type of therapy for you.

In addition, unlike many counsellors, I don’t shy away from using Exposure therapy in the treatment of anxiety disorders.
